We are seeking an Expediter to join our team! The right candidate will be able to coordinate the flow of work and materials between departments as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. The right candidate will also be able to Procures outside services for machined parts. Arranges for transportation to / return of parts to/from suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Outsources secondary operations to suppliers and vendors
• Follows up completion of outsourced work
• Schedules pickups and deliveries
• Enters data for job tracking
• Properly routes and files paperwork
• Maintain and improve the execution of production assignments
• Review and distribute supplies and shipments in a timely manner
• Confer with other departments to determine the progress of work and completion dates
• Compile reports on costs and inventory levels
• Review and communicate production status reports Serve as point of contact between production and planning teams
• Request Quotes for outside processing
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in expediting (manufacturing-related)
• Knowledge of AS9100 purchasing requirements
• Able to read & interpret blueprints within aerospace-related documents
• Previous experience in production, planning, or other related fields
• Good computer skills (data entry, email)
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in teams
