Industrial Cleaner / Janitor – 1st Shift Wage: $15.00 to $16.00

Position Summary

The Industrial Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly industrial/manufacturing environment. This role performs routine and heavy-duty cleaning tasks, including floor care, waste removal, restroom sanitation, and general facility upkeep. The position also supports workplace safety by identifying maintenance needs and ensuring cleaning procedures are followed correctly.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout industrial and manufacturing facilities.

• Service, clean, and restock restroom facilities.

• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recyclable materials.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors.

• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as needed.

• Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, walls, and other surfaces.

• Prepare and use cleaning solutions according to established procedures.

• Operate cleaning equipment and power tools safely and effectively.

• Monitor building safety and security, including locking doors and identifying potential hazards.

• Report facility maintenance issues and repair needs to management.

• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment inventory and request replenishment as needed.

• Remove debris and assist with maintaining exterior walkways when required.

Physical Requirements

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• Ability to work in an industrial environment and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Sufficient near vision and hearing to safely perform job duties.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Training will be provided and may range from several days to a few months, depending on experience and job requirements.

Work Schedule

• Primarily Monday through Friday

• First Shift
