Maintenance Technician -Stamping Press - 2nd Shift

Shift: 2nd Shift (with weekend and overtime availability)

Position Summary
The Stamping Press Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all production equipment—particularly stamping presses and supporting systems—operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This hands-on role includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and maximize production performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping presses (Minster, AIDA, and similar), feed lines, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production machinery and support systems
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair press components including clutches, brakes, bearings, and tonnage monitoring systems
• Assist with die setup support, press alignment, and shut-height verification as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
• Perform emergency repairs and implement long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Conduct maintenance on conveyors, robots (Fanuc preferred), and auxiliary equipment
• Document all maintenance work performed in accordance with company procedures
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely while following Lockout/Tagout and OSHA guidelines
• Collaborate closely with production, tooling, and engineering teams to resolve equipment and process issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (automotive preferred)
• Hands-on experience with mechanical presses (any tonnage; Minster press experience a plus)
• Basic understanding of Fanuc robotic systems preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Working knowledge of 480-volt electrical systems
• Forklift operation experience required
• Willingness to work 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Proven commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Basic computer proficiency for work order entry and maintenance tracking
