Your responsibilities

The position leads the ZSP Infant Formula powder manufacturing operations within Mead Johnson’s Zeeland Supply Center and serves as a member of the site leadership team. This position is responsible for effectively managing the people, equipment and processes related to the manufacture of powder infant formula including: processing, weighing, blending and packaging. This position is accountable to meet the overall safety, quality, production and financial performance objectives for the operation. In addition, this position is accountable for plant wide compliance with regulations, GMP, and HACCP programs.

Key aspects of the job include:

• Driving continuous improvement processes including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Visual Metrics, and 5S
• Collaborating with all Supply Chain functions, R&D, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources to meet company and department objectives
• Leading the implementation of projects and processes to improve safety, quality, cost and customer service
• Optimizing capacity and staffing strategies;
• Working with the leadership team to develop strategy, priorities and business plans
• Developing and executing a productivity agenda - holding self and others accountable for results; creating and developing a high performing team of talent; sustaining the flexibility and responsiveness of a non-union workforce through the development and leadership of a team-based culture.

The experience we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science or related field is required
• Three to five years experience managing a manufacturing operation preferably within a food, pharmaceutical or a consumer products company.
• Proven problem solving skills and leadership skills in developing people and organizations to translate strategy into specific tactical actions. Capable of getting desired results in a matrix management culture.
• Masters in Business Administration preferred
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing is highly preferred
• Preferred knowledge: liquid processing, powder drying, powder blending and packaging processes; Working with FDA or other regulatory agencies

Salary Range

USD $106,000.00 - $160,000.00

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
