Stamping Press Operator

Co is a metal fabrication facility

Shift: 7am to 3pm - Monday - Friday (OT on Saturday when required)

Pay Rate: $20-$22/hr

Position Overview

The Stamping Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring stamping press machines to produce metal parts according to production specifications. This role ensures accurate part formation, consistent quality, and safe machine operation while supporting daily manufacturing output.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup including selecting dies, adjusting press settings, and preparing materials for production.
• Stamping Press Operation to form metal components according to engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Quality Inspection using calipers, gauges, and visual checks to confirm part accuracy and consistency.
• Material Loading and safe handling of sheet metal, coils, or blanks throughout the production cycle.
• Monitoring Production to identify defects, machine issues, or irregularities and make necessary adjustments.
• Documentation of part counts, job numbers, and production notes for traceability and reporting.
• Safety Compliance including proper PPE use, lockout procedures, and adherence to all plant safety rules.
• Team Collaboration with supervisors, quality inspectors, and other production staff to maintain workflow and meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Experience operating stamping presses or similar metal forming equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and production instructions.
• Knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, tolerances, and forming characteristics.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality parts.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required for production.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety practices and machine operation standards.
