Accounting Specialist II - Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc.

Position Description: The Accounting specialist works closely with others in the finance department which oversees daily, monthly and yearly financial operations. Tasks are as follows but not limited to:
- Prepare accurate financial statements
- Reconcile accounts and credit card accounts
- Generate reports
- Manage accounts payable, pay and file invoices, and track the status of accounts
- Manage account receivables
- Prepare month-end reports and all necessary reporting
- Input ledger entries, process financial transactions
- Accounts payable, draft and send invoices, print checks and ACH payments in a timely manner
- Data Management
- Assist with administrative tasks including answering phones, organizing mail, or ordering office supplies, etc.
- Collaborate with Program Directors to prepare budgets for grants
- Prepare and complete daily bank deposits
- Prepare for financial audits
- Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors meetings and attend meetings
Hours:Full Time 8-4 Monday thru Friday
Compensation:TBD with experience taken into consideration
Benefits:403b Retirement Plan with 10% matching, medical /dental/vision fully paid by employer after 90 days, PTO and vacation days
Qualifications:
- Bachelors preferred
- 2-4 years experience in an accounting role
- Non-profit experience a plus
- MIP classic or MIP Cloud knowledge preferred
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Flexibility and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends when needed
- Federal and State grant knowledge
