A local company with a facility in the Wixom, MI area is currently seeking several junior Controls Engineers for long-term opportunities with their growing team! These are exciting opportunities for junior Controls Engineers looking for a company that offers excellent growth and development, reasonable travel, and competitive rates.

Controls Engineering rates are anticipated to be in the $35-50/hour range based on each candidate's experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. Overtime is paid at premium rates over 40 hours. We offer excellent benefits including medical and dental insurance.

While local candidates are preferred, reasonable relocation assistance is available for well-qualified candidates.

Qualified Controls Engineers will possess most (if not all) of the following skills and experience:

• 3-5+ years of experience with Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC programming for material handling or Conveyor process controls in an Automotive setting or closely related equipment/industry.
• 1-2+ years of experience with electrical hardware.
• Must be able to travel 20-30% overnight for following projects into the field for commissioning. Candidates available/comfortable with additional travel would be a strong benefit, but flexibility is available.
• A BS / Associates degree in Electrical Engineering is a benefit but not essential. Equivalent Controls Engineering and automotive capital equipment engineering experience will be strongly considered.
• Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered).
• Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
