• Location: Three Rivers, Michigan 49093
• Healthcare Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
• Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg - 1501)
• Job Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within Acute Care/CCU and Inpatient Rehab
• Charting System: McKesson/Alltara (Cerner experience required)
• Scrub Color: Any color acceptable
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890-$1940

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending accepted if active by start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float within scope to Acute Care, CCU, and Inpatient Rehab units
• Willingness to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical unit
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitor patient status and document care using McKesson/Alltara and Cerner systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services
• Float to Acute Care, CCU, and Inpatient Rehab units as needed
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions in accordance with hospital policies
• Perform nursing procedures such as IV starts, wound care, phlebotomy, and feeding tube management
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning to support positive patient outcomes
