General Manager (Miss J's Cafe)
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management :
- Oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure that all health, safety, and food safety regulations are adhered to.
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders, and tracking supplies to avoid shortages or waste.
- Staff Management :
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen employees.
- Develop and schedule staff rosters to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback, motivation, and guidance for career development.
- Customer Service :
- Ensure an excellent customer experience by addressing customer concerns, handling complaints, and monitoring service quality.
- Foster a positive, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for both customers and staff.
- Financial Management :
- Monitor and manage the cafe's budget, including payroll, ordering, and operational costs.
- Prepare and review financial reports, track sales, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Ensure cash handling and financial transactions are accurate.
- Marketing and Promotion :
- Work with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Organize events or special promotions to attract new customers and retain loyal ones.
- Quality Control :
- Ensure the quality of food and drinks meets the standards set by Miss J's Cafe.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cafe to create a pleasant environment.
- Collaboration and Communication :
- Work closely with the owner to achieve business goals, resolve issues, and implement new strategies.
- Communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Cafe Manager, or similar role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage finances, budgets, and financial reports.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
- Passion for coffee and food industry trends.
Education and Experience
- A degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of management experience in a cafe or food service environment
