Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Deployment Engineer to join our team, specializing in providing comprehensive IT support for new veterinary clinics. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all IT functions during the onboarding process of new veterinary clinics, acting as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries, and ensuring seamless integration of technology systems. Additionally, this role involves providing IT field support for existing veterinary clinics, assisting with remodels, expansions, and relocations, and resolving any technical issues that may arise. - Onboarding New Veterinary Clinics:
- Coordinate and execute all IT functions during the onboarding process of new veterinary clinics.
- Conduct site assessments to determine IT infrastructure requirements and develop implementation plans accordingly.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networking systems to meet clinic needs.
- Train clinic staff on the use of IT systems and provide ongoing support as needed.
- IT Field Support:
- Serve as an IT field support technician for existing veterinary clinics.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, backups, and security patches.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors as necessary to address complex technical issues.
- Remodels and Expansions:
- Assist with IT-related aspects of clinic remodels, expansions, or relocations.
- Plan and implement necessary changes to IT infrastructure to accommodate clinic growth and evolving technology needs.
- Ensure smooth transition of IT systems during clinic expansions or relocations.
- D ocumentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and procedures for each clinic location.
- Generate regular reports on IT performance, issues, and resolutions for management review.
- Develop and update IT documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
- Customer Service and Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clinic staff, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their IT requirements and address concerns proactively.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clinic management, offering expert guidance on IT solutions and best practices.
Qualifications: Required Knowledge, Skills , and Abilities: - Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
- Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- A willingness to travel extensively (75-85% of the time) and work flexible hours as needed. Some weekends are required.
Required Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Hardware, Software, Network and general IT Infrastructure support and configuration.
Preferred Education and Experience - A+ PC Technician Certification, CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer)
- Experience working with PIMS systems and veterinary-related applications and systems.
- Familiarity with veterinary clinics and hospitals.
Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at either a desk or performing field work on their feet that require moving and lifting systems and other items as required.
