Customer Service Representative

About the Role

We are seeking experienced, high‑performing Customer Service Representatives to join a fast‑paced call center supporting healthcare and pharmacy benefit inquiries. This position requires excellent communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

You will answer customer questions related to prior authorizations, benefits, and general account inquiries while navigating multiple internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle high‑volume inbound calls (50–100 per day depending on complexity)
  • Make outbound follow‑up calls as needed
  • Provide accurate information regarding prior authorizations and general inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive healthcare information
  • Enter data and document interactions with high accuracy
  • Utilize multiple software systems to research and update customer records
  • Meet performance expectations for quality, accuracy, and reliability

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent high‑volume call center experience (within last 2–3 years)
  • Stable work history (no jumpy resumes; at least one year in previous roles)
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM or higher
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work across multiple systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Healthcare, pharmacy benefit, or medical call center experience
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (not required but should be noted if applicable)
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Training & Work Schedule

Training

  • 4‑week training program
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Includes 4 tests; must average 90% to complete training (achievable with strong participation, note‑taking, and practice)

Post‑Training Work Schedule

  • Must be available 7 days a week between 5:00 AM–10:00 PM
  • You will receive a set schedule within these hours
  • Mandatory overtime required in January and February
  • Shift bidding occurs at the end of training, based on test performance

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
