Physical Therapist Job Details

• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Physical Therapist Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation, SNF/Acute Swing Bed, occasional Outpatient (neuro and ortho)
• Location: Troy, North Carolina 27371
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Load: 6–10 patients per 8-hour shift
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370 - $2,430

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in inpatient rehab or acute care settings
• Active North Carolina Physical Therapist license (pending license accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR charting system
• Preferred: Skills in manual therapy, dry needling, and use of adaptive devices
• Strong clinical assessment and evaluation skills for adult and geriatric patients

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one physical therapy to patients in SNF/Acute Swing Bed and outpatient settings
• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for orthopedic, neurological, and post-operative conditions
• Collaborate with PTAs, occupational therapists, and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
• Document patient progress and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and internal patient scheduling
