Sr. Accounts Payable Accountant

Description Our client is seeking a Sr. Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities, including completing payments, maintaining proper controls within the payment cycle, balance sheet reconciliations, oversight of intercompany accounts, accurate and timely recording of expenditures and month end accruals. What you'll be handling - Entering invoices: after obtaining authorized approvals, matching the purchase orders and receiving records in MS Dynamics Navision (3 way match) - Maintain Project related (deposit plan) invoices - Reconciliation of AP accounts - Received not invoiced Accounts, AP Month End Accruals - Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments according to schedule - Balance Sheet Account Analysis: Prepaids, Intercompany COGS/Expense Accounts - Month End Job and Expense Accruals - Monitor invoices-taxable items, correct account numbers, and discounts - Maintain vendor accounts, correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries - Research and resolve invoice/PO discrepancies and issues - Prepare 1099 and 1096 documentations - Maintain Concur Expense report program including tracking expenses and processing expense reports (IRS guidelines) - Provide supporting documentation for yearend audits - Maintain accurate historical records - Maintain confidentiality of organizational information - Perform other duties as required/assigned Requirements What you'll need - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - 4-6 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience - Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards (GAAP) - High degree of accuracy and attention to detail - Positive attitude, patience and calm demeanor in challenging situations - Prioritize projects and tasks, and execute ongoing updates - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook - Experience with ERP systems required, MS Dynamics Navision proficiency preferred Apply now for immediate consideration!
