Seeking a 2nd Shift Finishing Operator for a manufacturing company in Hillsdale. Job consists of inspecting castings for defects and operating manual and automated grinding equipment.

Finishing Operator Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $19.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Various shifts available ( Monday through Friday )

• 2nd shift 3:00pm-1:00am
• 2nd shift 6:00pm-4:00am
• Both shifts will be required to train on 1st shift: Week 1 8:00am-4:00pm, Week 2 6:00am-4:00pm

• Inspect castings for defects in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.
• Operate both automated and manual grinding equipment to remove excess material and finish castings.
• Use hand tools and grinding equipment, including die grinders, burrs, stone bits, hammers, and punches.
• Work with and around three automated robotic grinding cells.
• Sort and place finished products into designated shipping containers.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform highly repetitive production tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Finishing Operator Qualifications:

• Strong work history
• Entry-Level – company will train
• Steel-Toes are required

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and handle parts weighing between 1 and 30 pounds, with most parts averaging 5 to 10 pounds.
• Capable of lifting and moving thousands of parts throughout a shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment that is hot, dusty, and dirty.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including an air hood while grinding.
• Ability to safely work around automated robotic equipment and grinding machinery.
