Temporary Accounts Payable Associate

Our client, a dynamic organization in the financial services sector, is seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Associate to join their team. As a Temporary Accounts Payable Associate, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Associate
Location: Marquette, MI
Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per Hour
Shift: Full time, M-F day shift with 30-minute lunch.

What’s the Job?
- Receives, verifies and process invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company policy.
- Analyzes and resolves invoice/statement discrepancies with vendors while also maintaining positive vendor relationships through responsiveness to their inquiries.
- Assists in the process and maintenance of all accounts payable records by indexing and archiving.
- Contacts other departments and outside agencies to resolve problems.
- Assist with customer service-related activities such as order intake, helping to assist and resolve various issues with B2B customers.
- Assists accounting personnel with accounts payable related month end close processes as needed, including select account reconciliations, support for expense accrual entries, and variance analysis research

What’s Needed?
- Temporary, Full time, M-F, day shift with 30-minute lunch.
- High School Diploma required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Prior experience with SAP, QuickBooks, or similar Accounting/ERP software.
- 2 to 3 years of accounts payable preferred
