We are looking for a Semi Trailer Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various semi trailers and related activities. We are a pallet manufacturer and repair facility with a fleet of over 200 trailers throughout Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
- Follow through with all aspects of semi trailer repair and preventive maintenance.
- Duties include but not limited to: welding, metal fabrication, light and ABS wiring, tire repair, roof repair DOT inspections, brake and suspensions repair
- Previous experience as a mechanic
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Be able to preform DOT inspections
- Be able to be a self started with little supervision
- Work with owner of company with goal setting and follow through of set goals
