Candidate will be on 1st or 2nd shift (it is still undecided which shift; candidate needs to be open to either) . OT required.

8am-4pm (1st); 4pm-midnight (2nd). 100% onsite in Chelsea, MI

This candidate will work as part of team including engineers, union technicians, and mechanics to troubleshoot and resolve test equipment issues for Emissions Chassis Dynamometer test cells, SHEDs, and other emissions testing equipment.

Perform Quality Control and Calibration activities to satisfy regulatory and internal department requirements, including tracking and documentation.

Support new test cell equipment integration to support new regulatory and powertrain testing community requirements. Work on projects to improve test cell efficiencies and throughput.

Requirements:

o Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline

o · Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive testing, preferably experience with Vehicle or Engine Emissions testing equipment, including chassis dynamometers, analyzers, instrumentation, sampling systems, data acquisition (National Instrument Devices), PLCs, and Diesel/GDI Particulate Sampling.

o · Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications

o · Ability to understand, interpret and analyze data with attention to detail

o · Must be a team player with ability to work with diverse group of engineers, supervisors, and UAW personnel

o · Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs and projects simultaneously

o · Analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis
