The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. This role ensures accurate documentation, assists with onboarding and offboarding, and supports HR initiatives across all Lakeland Monroe Group plants. The ideal candidate will have strong HR experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain and update HR records, documentation, databases, and systems, including ADP and PLEX cleanup, while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and managing time-off requests and attendance tracking to ensure policies are followed.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, providing handbook clarifications, ensuring compliance with company policies, and gathering/analyzing feedback to improve HR initiatives and employee satisfaction.
- Manage HR communications, including employee announcements, bulletin board updates, distribution of HR-related documents, and assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure documentation completion and compliance.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives, training programs, and employee engagement activities, as well as create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flowcharts.
- Administer benefits programs and provide employee support as needed, monitor and track performance reviews and evaluations, and organize employee events and recognition programs.
- Manage HR responsibilities for a dedicated plant, rotating between different plant locations based on scheduled needs.
- Manage recruitment and temps for your respective plant
- Perform additional HR-related duties and projects as assigned.
What you bring:
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience required.

Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing or multi-location environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking during an 8-hour shift.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Frequent standing, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Occasional walking and talking or hearing.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
