Demand Planner | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for finished goods and components.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain to gather market intelligence and refine forecasts.
• Lead demand review meetings as a key input to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and bias, identifying root causes for deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Utilize statistical modeling techniques and demand planning software to generate baseline forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and their alignment with demand plans to minimize stock-outs and excess.
• Integrate new product introductions, promotions, and product discontinuations into the overall demand plan.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills for interpreting data and developing forecasts.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with statistical modeling tools or programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience with advanced planning systems like SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or o9 Solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in S&OP process improvement or implementation.
