HR Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for helping ensure we have the best team possible. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and will assist in various HR activities, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

• Lead full-cycle recruiting and hiring.

• Maintain job descriptions, compensation alignment, and compliance steps.

• Manage onboarding and new-hire orientation.

Employee Relations & Culture

• Serve as primary contact for employee concerns and support.

• Coach managers on performance and documentation.

• Support culture initiatives, surveys, recognition, and engagement.

Performance & Development

• Assist leaders with evaluations, corrective action, and development plans.

• Guide Right Person/Right Seat, team structure, and coaching.

Compliance & HR Admin

• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

• Manage employee files, leaves (FMLA/ADA), workers’ comp, and investigations.

• Maintain the employee handbook and required trainings.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support

• Support payroll and benefits administration.

• Track PTO, attendance, pay changes, and HRIS accuracy.

HR Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain HR metrics (turnover, recruiting, safety trends).

• Support L10 updates, scorecards, and HR projects.

• Improve processes and support organizational planning.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years HR generalist or HR management experience.

• Strong employment law knowledge.

• Excellent communication, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

We are based in West Michigan with 5 locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Muskegon to support our customers with an extensive service department, 3 complete body shops, parts including delivery, a fleet of mobile service trucks, towing and a laser focus on customer service. This is all in addition to truck sales, leasing/rental, and financing.
