Roofing and Exterior Service Technician – Diagnose and Repair Residential & Commercial Exterior Systems

Job Overview:

• Company: Ingram Roofing Inc.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $20 - $40 per hour

• Location: Rochester, MI.

The Opportunity : You will serve as a critical problem-solver, moving beyond simple production to diagnose and execute complex exterior repairs independently. This role offers high levels of autonomy for technicians who take pride in identifying root causes and delivering right-the-first-time results. How You Will Make an Impact:

• Diagnose and repair diverse exterior systems including asphalt shingles, cedar, vinyl siding, and fiber cement.

• Execute high-quality, targeted repairs for leak investigations and general exterior maintenance.

• Capture and upload complete photo records of problem identification and work-in-progress to company systems.

• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation of job notes and time tracking before leaving each job site.

• Resolve technical on-site challenges independently to ensure project completion without requiring return visits.

• Communicate professionally with homeowners and builders to explain findings and represent company values.

• Identify and report additional risks or scope changes immediately to the Service Manager.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in roofing and exterior system diagnosis and repair.

• Proven ability to work independently on residential and light-commercial projects without constant supervision.

• Strong ability to identify the root causes of leaks and exterior system failures.

• Absolute discipline regarding digital documentation, including photo records and detailed job notes.

• Physical ability to work safely on various roof pitches and heights using ladders.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with single-ply roofing systems, including EPDM, TPO, and PVC.

• Advanced skills in light carpentry, caulking, and specialized metal fabrication.

• Demonstrated history of high "first-time accuracy" rates in a service-oriented environment.
