Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior machinists.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot complex CNC machinery and manual machining equipment.
• Ensure all manufactured components meet precise quality specifications through inspection and verification.
• Optimize machining processes, programs, and tooling for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and manage workflow within the machine shop to meet production schedules.
• Diagnose and resolve machining issues, machine malfunctions, and quality discrepancies.
• Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5+ years) as a precision machinist, including setup and operation of CNC and manual machinery.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment, including training and mentoring junior machinists.
• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) and G-code programming/editing.
• Strong understanding of metrology and quality inspection techniques, utilizing various precision measuring instruments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to mentor junior machinists and contribute to skill development.
• Proficiency with advanced CAM software features, simulation, or post-processor customization.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize machining processes, select advanced tooling, or design simple fixtures.
