Accounts Receivable Specialist

Service Professor is a trusted provider of residential plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and drain services. We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our growing accounting team.

Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist works closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager to ensure customer invoices are processed accurately and on time. This role communicates with customers to request, arrange, and receive payments, reviews invoices for accuracy, processes collections, and reconciles customer accounts.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

• Process and post customer invoices accurately and timely
• Review invoices and ensure discounts are applied appropriately
• Process revenue, collections, and customer payments
• Reconcile customer accounts and track open receivables
• Resolve non-payment issues, NSF items, and other AR discrepancies
• Complete weekly bank deposits and reconcile deposits
• Export invoices and payments for payroll processing
• Accept and record technician payments and report outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate accounting data entry and documentation
• Support compliance deadlines and reporting requirements
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding balances and payments
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Answer phones and assist with general office support as needed
• Participate in meetings, training, and other assigned duties

What Does It Take?

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Minimum 1 year of accounts receivable or accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with accounting systems (Sage Intacct and/or ServiceTitan preferred)
• Experience with ledgers and accounting procedures
• Accurate typing and 10-key skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong attendance and reliability
