About the Role:

This an in office position. The Accounts Payable Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable cycle, which includes verifying, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system. Additionally, the role involves analyzing accounts and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Accounts Payable Clerk contributes to the overall efficiency of the finance department and supports the organization's financial health.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting or finance.
• 1 - 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Experience with accounting systems.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices for payment in accordance with company policies.
• Verify Invoice accuracy, including pricing, quantities, and terms
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and invoice discrepancies
• Maintain vendor master files and update payment terms as needed
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• File and maintain organized records of all processed invoices and payments
• Prepare and execute check runs and ACH payments
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed
