Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle from creation to delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to ensure material availability.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with quality standards and specifications.
• Resolve discrepancies with suppliers regarding quality, quantity, and delivery issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, electronics assembly).
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis.
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics, including customs and incoterms.
