Inventory Control Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting and regular physical inventories.
• Develop, implement, and optimize inventory control procedures and systems (e.g., ERP/WMS).
• Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing to ensure optimal material flow and stock levels.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and address slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory to minimize waste and costs.
• Lead and mentor inventory control staff, providing training on best practices and system usage.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management methodologies (e.g., Lean, JIT) and forecasting techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience applying Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with ERP system implementations or significant upgrades (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Demonstrated experience in demand forecasting or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
