Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of fabrication technicians and welders.
• Oversee daily fabrication operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and specifications for complex projects.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior fabrication staff, fostering skill development.
• Monitor and maintain fabrication equipment, ensuring optimal performance and preventative care.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in various fabrication techniques including welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting (plasma, laser), bending, and forming.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
• Thorough understanding of quality control procedures and safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for design interpretation or light modification.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Advanced welding certifications (e.g., TIG, MIG for specialized alloys) or expertise in specific fabrication techniques (e.g., laser cutting, waterjet operation).
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling and tracking.
• Prior experience in training or mentoring junior fabricators.
