Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional measurements and inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product quality.
• Document measurement results, calibration data, and maintain detailed records in accordance with quality standards.
• Conduct Gauge R&R (Repeatability & Reproducibility) studies and other Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
• Provide technical support and training to production and engineering staff on metrology principles and equipment usage.
• Identify and resolve measurement discrepancies, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Solid understanding of measurement principles, calibration techniques, and quality control standards.
• Experience with metrology software for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• A technical degree or certification in metrology, quality, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming CMMs (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) or automated vision systems.
• Experience utilizing statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process control.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model interpretation and measurement planning.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
