Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights to management.
• Ensure accurate valuation and reconciliation of inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
• Prepare and analyze periodic cost reports, focusing on production costs, profitability, and cost trends.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, specifically for manufacturing costs and gross margins.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within manufacturing operations.
• Analyze capital expenditure requests, conduct post-implementation reviews, and assess ROI for new equipment or processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS as they relate to cost accounting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, Power Query, or data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• CMA or CPA certification, or actively pursuing.
