Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, with experience in various medical settings. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services, including but not limited to acute care, primary care, and specialized treatments. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations.
• Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as needed.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results for effective patient management.
• Provide education and health coaching to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
• Manage acute pain and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and assisted living facilities.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for patient records management.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives as required.

Experience
Candidates should have a diverse background in nursing with specific experience in the following areas considered advantageous:

• Epic or Athena health EMR systems
• Critical care experience (ICU, Level I/II trauma center)
• Gastroenterology and internal medicine
• Emergency medicine and urgent care settings
• Experience with children (Pediatrics) or geriatrics (Senior care)
• Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and workers' compensation law
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and home care services
• Proficiency in performing procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, spinal taps, or airway management
