Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize material acquisition.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, terms, and quality for raw materials and components.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and engineering departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and value engineering opportunities across the supply chain.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
• Mitigate supply chain risks through diversification and proactive supplier management.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize inventory levels.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking.
• Experience with global sourcing and international supplier management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience managing complex purchasing initiatives.
