Michigan's Adventure is looking for a Youth Sales Representative. This key member of our marketing team actively promotes our park by building relationships with local schools and youth groups. This position will own all aspects of the sales process from prospecting to event execution.

As a Youth Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving attendance and revenue by securing and managing group events at the park. This high-energy, guest-focused role is responsible for building relationships with schools, youth organizations, and community groups, creating memorable experiences through customized packages and seamless event coordination. You'll serve as both a sales professional and brand ambassador, ensuring every group visit delivers exceptional value and excitement. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the Fun-Fill the Park with Groups Actively prospect and connect with schools, youth organizations, and sports teams to bring unforgettable group experiences to life and keep the park buzzing with excitement.
- Be the Ultimate Group Experience Guide Serve as the go-to contact for group leaders, delivering friendly, fast, and enthusiastic service from first inquiry to final ride-ensuring every visit is smooth, memorable, and stress-free.
- Create Irresistible Park Packages Build custom experiences that go beyond admission-combining thrilling rides with catered meals, reserved seating, exclusive perks, and special pricing to match each group's needs and budget.
- Showcase the Enchantment Deliver engaging presentations (in-person and virtual) that highlight the park's attractions, events, and group benefits-turning interest into confirmed bookings.
- Make Every Visit Run Like a Ride on Rails Partner with food & beverage, operations, and guest services teams to coordinate seamless group visits, ensuring every detail is handled with precision and care.
- Hit Sales Goals with Energy and Enthusiasm Meet and exceed sales targets by building strong pipelines, closing deals, and upselling exciting add-ons that enhance the guest experience.
- Stay Organized Behind the Scenes Keep accurate records of leads, bookings, and communications in CRM systems, ensuring contracts, payments, and details are handled efficiently.
- Keep the Excitement Fresh Stay up to speed on park promotions, seasonal events, and new attractions to keep offerings exciting and competitive.
- Be There When It Counts Support groups on event days when needed, helping deliver a flawless, fun-filled experience and resolving any issues quickly.
- Turn Great Days into Repeat Visits Gather feedback, celebrate successes, and build lasting relationships that bring groups back year after year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, tourism, or event sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
- Experience in corporate sales, group sales, or event planning, including buyouts, meetings, and catered events
- Strong prospecting and business development skills, with the ability to generate new leads and build a robust sales pipeline
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first mindset focused on delivering exceptional client experiences
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts, timelines, and event details simultaneously
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, catering, and marketing teams to execute successful events
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for client events and park operations
