Temporary Student Support - Transportation Strategy Services

As a Temporary Student Support – Transportation Strategy Services you will support the Transportation organization through data analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional problem solving to improve cost, service, and compliance across WK Kellogg Co’s transportation network.

“This position is a part‑time Temporary Student Support (TSS) assignment that runs from Mid-May 2026 through December 2026, with the potential for extension.

This position is hybrid and will require some work onsite (approximately 1-2 days per month). The average workload is approximately 30-35 hours per week during the summer and 20-25 hours per week during the Fall semester.
Students must be actively enrolled in college for the entire duration of the assignment.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Support end‑to‑end Customer Service and Logistics (CSL) data analysis across Transportation, Warehouse Operations, and Customer Supply Chain to help identify opportunities to improve service, reduce cost, and strengthen execution reliability
• Assist with load, mode, and volume analyses to support transportation planning and network decisions, gaining exposure to how freight, warehouse capacity, and customer demand connect across the CSL network
• Participate in cross‑functional root cause analysis for On‑Time Delivery, Perfect Order, and service exceptions by partnering with Transportation, Distribution Center Operations, and Customer Supply Chain teams to understand drivers and improvement actions
• Help develop CSL performance reporting and scorecards, learning how transportation, warehouse, and customer service metrics are connected and used to drive daily execution and continuous improvement
• Support carrier and logistics partner onboarding activities, including documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process mapping, and alignment with warehouse and customer‑facing workflows
• Assist with analysis of accessorial and exception costs, helping identify trends and learning how CSL teams work together to prevent service failures and control total cost‑to‑serve
• Prepare clear summaries and insights for CSL stakeholders, building skills in translating data into actionable observations and recommendations for Transportation, Warehouse, and Customer Supply Chain partners

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; Junior or Senior preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; AI/CoPilot proficiency, Power BI and PowerPoint experience a plus
