Paralegal

Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in Flint, Michigan. This role involves providing essential legal support, including document management, legal research, and drafting legal documents. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful legal matters in an environment that values attention to detail. Responsibilities: - Manage the collection, review, and organization of documents for Michigan Freedom of Information Act requests, subpoenas, litigation discovery, and other legal inquiries. - Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues to support case preparation. - Draft, edit, and prepare a variety of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards. - Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings. - Utilize case management software to maintain accurate case records and streamline workflows. - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and organize necessary information. - Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements during document production. - Support the litigation process by assisting with trial preparation and other essential administrative tasks. Requirements - Proven experience with discovery processes, including document review and production. - Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and practices. - Demonstrated ability to prepare for trials, including organizing evidence and documentation. - Proficiency in using case management software to manage legal files and data. - Excellent legal research skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex legal issues. - Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with attorneys and other team members.
