Equipment Rental Specialist
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on team member to support our rental department. This role works directly under the Rental Manager and is critical to keeping our yard organized, equipment ready, and customers taken care of.
This is a mix of physical work, customer interaction, and light technical/computer tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain yard organization and equipment flow
- Prepare rentals for pickup (cleaning, fueling, inspection)
- Check in returned equipment and document condition
- Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment safely
- Handle rental contracts and customer transactions when manager is unavailable
- Support phone call overflow and customer inquiries
- Manage inventory in Aspen system
- Update equipment records
- Upload and organize photos of used machines
- Use computer/iPad to track rentals, inventory, and transfers
- Record 360° walkarounds for equipment transfers between stores
- Coordinate with team on equipment availability and movement
- Perform basic mechanical work (fluids, batteries, simple fixes)
Qualifications
- Comfortable using computers and learning systems (Aspen experience = bonus)
- Mechanically inclined (basic troubleshooting/maintenance)
- Ability to work outdoors and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail (inventory + condition tracking matters)
- Good communication skills (in-person + phone)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift experience a plus (or willing to learn)

- Organized and proactive (doesn’t wait to be told what to do)
- Comfortable jumping between physical work and computer tasks
- Can handle responsibility when the Rental Manager is not present
