Toddler Teacher Assistant

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers is hiring a Toddler Teacher Assistant at our Lake Orion, MI campus. In this entry level role, you will provide support and coverage to the teaching staff and serve as an integral part of the closing team, greeting parents at the end of the day when they come to pick up their children. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in early childhood education. This position offers training and development and potential for advancement within the organization.

Our Lake Orion campus has earned a Certificate of Recognition from Great Start Quality, (the equivalent of a five-star rating)

Position Detail:

• Status: Regular, full-time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm
• Location: Onsite, Lake Orion, MI
• Pay range: $14-$17/hour- depending on education and experience
• Unfortunately, this position does not qualify for relocation assistance or US Visa sponsorship

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years of age ( required )
• Must be certified in CPR/First Aid ( can be completed after hire )
• Previous experience in a childcare setting or private nanny ( preferred )

Essential functions:

• Keeps children safe through health and safety, supervision and by using name to face often.
• Appropriate care and supervision in the classroom, bathroom, hallways and outdoors.
• Abide by all Heartfelt company policies and procedures
• Support lead and assistant teacher
• Will engage in active play and supervision with children in the classroom
• Will need to participate and direct children through the daily routine
• Greet each parent when they walk in the classroom
• Follow Heartfelt Core Values when making decisions.
