We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room (OR) nursing to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in perioperative care, surgical procedures, and patient management within a private surgical suite. We operate fixed hours M, W, TH, F
Duties
- Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative patient care within the operating room setting
- Assist surgeon during procedures
- Administer medications including injections and IV infusions following strict aseptic techniques
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient physiology, and evaluate clinical status throughout surgical interventions
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Conduct patient education on surgical procedures, post-op care, and pain management strategies
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate post-operative or post-acute care services
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile processing, and infection control standards
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations including individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in behavioral health or memory care is a plus
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. This position offers an engaging environment for dedicated nursing professionals committed to delivering exceptional surgical care across multiple specialties.
