Event Planner - Company Events, Vendor Management - SW9-19813902

Our client in the health insurance space is seeking an experienced Event Planner to support and lead planning for a series of upcoming company events. This is a HYBRID (Detroit, MI), contract role working 40 hours a week through mid-October and is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, manage multiple events, and build processes where none currently exist. Event planning is new for this team, so the ability to work independently and guide stakeholders is critical.

Event Planner Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events end to end
• Source venues and manage vendors
• Research and price experiential ideas (e.g., specialty rentals, activations)
• Coordinate calendars with executive assistants
• Partner with marketing on signage, swag, and branding
• Collaborate with larger event organizers and PR agency as needed
• Manage all event communications and logistics

Event Planner Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Event Planning/Coordination
• Proven corporate or branded event planning experience
• Able to be onsite for key events

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
