Technical Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Specialist to join our team in Plymouth, MI. Assists Regional and Site Management to meet set objectives for the facility in relation to the efficiency and improvement of the labeling equipment. Additionally, assists the maintenance support group in their activities along with focusing on process improvement and equipment support for all lines.

Responsibilities

• Focused on process improvement initiatives in the safety, quality and reliability improvement of the labeling process
• Develop and oversee the execution of the monthly, semiannual, and annual PM Labeler Program
• Responsible for developing and implementing machine improvements to achieve machine uptime goals
• Work with local leadership to improve machine performance and to schedule machine downtime, and alongside the production team to achieve production goals
• Follows and enforces company work and safety policies and instructions
• Assist in the evaluation and training of operator and maintenance teams throughout the Water Group through the administration of labeler training
• Research, price and implement equipment upgrades
• Focus on plant reliability and safety improvement initiatives to assist the Site Managers
• Create data driven reports regarding maintenance and production related KPIs, and sharing with leadership
• Work with vendors and OEMs, and serves as the SME for all brands of labelers
• Protect Company Assets
• Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Occasional Travel may be required to support other facilities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong background in OEM Labeling Equipment (Sidel and Sacmi Labelers greatly preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
