Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the fabrication team, assigning tasks and managing workflow.
• Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards, specifications, and blueprints.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication equipment.
• Monitor material inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste in fabrication processes.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the fabrication area.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to maintain schedules.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and productivity.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience in diverse fabrication techniques (e.g., welding, machining, forming) and equipment operation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for quality control.
• Thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a fabrication environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Advanced welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6) or experience operating specialized fabrication equipment (e.g., laser cutters, CNC press brakes).
• Demonstrated experience in project management or coordinating complex fabrication jobs.
• Prior experience in mentoring, training, or developing junior fabricators.
