Associate Manager - NPD Operations
As an Associate Manager, NPD Operations, you will oversee the Product Safety, EMC, and Packaging Lab teams and provide day-to-day leadership to team/teams tied to the commercialization of products through testing activities. This position will work closely with the managers of other Instruments Lab teams to support predictable and efficient test management for Stryker Instruments and OrthoTech. The successful candidate will be required to build and sustain strong working relationships with the business units we support, keep up-to-date key department metrics, and make recommendations on resource allocations, forecasting, and ensuring their team is prepared to fully support the needs of the business.

This role is on-site in Portage, MI, in the office 4 days a week.

- Lead NPD Operations projects and initiatives, owning planning, budgeting, staffing, and delivery against goals.
- Mentor and collaborate across cross-functional teams, leveraging technical expertise and strong relationships to drive innovation and business success.
- Ensure compliance excellence and financial accountability, including oversight of direct reports, cost center budgeting, forecasting, and talent pipeline development.
What You Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical field
- 6+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical professionals while setting clear performance expectations in direct or indirect leadership positions.
- Strong knowledge of medical device (or other regulated industries) regulations and standards related to product safety, including FDA and international requirements.
