Accountant
- Maintain the general ledger and process financial transactions in accordance with GAAP, including:
- Accounts payable, credit card transactions, invoicing, and journal entries
- Payment processing, including ACH, wire transfers, and credit card management
- Record and reconcile financial transactions
- Monitor and maintain accurate records for all fixed assets, including depreciation calculations and property tax reporting
- Prepare and distribute monthly internal financial reports and ad-hoc analyses
- Compile and submit monthly financial reporting to Ford, act as a liaison to the Ford finance team
- Support the company-wide forecasting and budgeting process
- Track project accounting and ensuring accuracy of cost allocations
- Conduct internal controls testing and maintain documentation for compliance with Ford and internal policies
- Participate in internal audits and update processes and procedures as operations evolve
- Ensure ongoing tax reporting and compliance for use tax, income tax, payroll tax, and R&D tax credits
- Maintain and update desk procedures, the Finance Manual, and internal Wiki and SharePoint pages
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and documentation as operations and compliance standards evolve
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3+ years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency with accounting systems
- Experience with budgeting, reporting, and internal audits
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to coordinate across departments and with external partners
- SAGE Intacct experience
- CPA firm experience
