Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
• Evaluate, select, and onboard new suppliers while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with existing vendors.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure timely availability and quality of raw materials and components.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material costs to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize carrying costs, aligning with production schedules.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement cost-saving purchasing strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and raw material sourcing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
• Experience with international sourcing, logistics, and customs compliance.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proven track record in supply chain risk management or business continuity planning.
