Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100–$2150

Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehab – Physical Therapy Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 29, 2025 – December 29, 2025)
• Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour Days (08:00 – 16:30)
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends (every fourth weekend)
• Holiday Requirement: Preferred, every other holiday
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5 (7–8 visits/day)
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Specialized Equipment: Lite Gait body weight support, treadmill

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient physical therapy experience
• Active Michigan Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain
• BLS certification (pending accepted)
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of onboarding modules prior to start

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as stroke, amputations, and post-surgical recovery
• Perform gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance and transfer training, family education, and discharge planning
• Utilize adaptive devices and specialized equipment including Lite Gait and treadmill
• Document patient care and progress using Cerner EMR
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to report on patient plans and outcomes
• Collaborate with healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, and social services
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
