Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs using CAD models and blueprints.
• Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components using CMMs and other metrology equipment.
• Analyze CMM measurement data, interpret results, and identify non-conformances or process deviations.
• Generate detailed inspection reports, statistical process control (SPC) data, and measurement system analysis (MSA) reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve product quality.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors, machine malfunctions, and ensure optimal machine performance and calibration.
• Maintain and manage CMM software, hardware, and associated fixturing to ensure accuracy and readiness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience with various measurement techniques and metrology equipment.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for model manipulation and inspection planning.
• Experience with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or optical comparators.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software for data analysis.
• Experience in designing or specifying measurement fixtures and tooling.
