Perm - Social Worker (LMSW) - Outpatient (Days)
Adult Outpatient Therapist Opportunity
Pay Rate:
- Full Michigan License: $29.47 – $39.67 per hour
- Limited Michigan License: $27.22 – $36.63 per hour
Compensation is grant-based and dependent on licensing status and experience. Salary is non-negotiable.
Position Summary:
Seeking an Adult Outpatient Therapist to provide clinical services to adults and families receiving outpatient behavioral health and co-occurring substance use services. The ideal candidate will participate in intake evaluations, treatment planning, therapy services, and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments and evaluations.
- Assess, document, and develop person-centered treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and family support systems.
- Maintain state licensure and meet all funding and program requirements.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations.
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate discharge planning and case closure activities.
- Complete 24 hours of training related to treating adults with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Flexible scheduling available.
- Some evening and weekend hours may be required based on program needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling (Required).
- Corresponding Michigan licensure (Required).
- Minimum of one year of experience treating or working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness (fieldwork and internships may qualify).
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and follow written, oral, and scheduled instructions
- Cultural competency and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to meet program needs.
Additional Requirements:
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
- Candidates requiring current or future work sponsorship are not eligible.
