Job Description Summary

Oxford Forge, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Finishing Tech to perform a variety of finishing processes on manufactured parts, ensuring high-quality standards and timely completion.

Job Description:

• Operate and maintain a range of finishing equipment, including grinders, sanders, deburring machines, and polishing tools.
• Inspect parts for defects, burrs, and imperfections, and apply appropriate finishing techniques to achieve specified surface finishes.
• Measure and verify part dimensions against blueprints and specifications using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Perform masking, cleaning, and preparation of parts for subsequent processes such as painting, plating, or anodizing.
• Document finished product specifications, production data, and quality control checks accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or process issues to supervisory staff.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address finishing challenges and optimize processes.

Job Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with hands-on finishing experience.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools common to finishing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and basic inspection techniques is a plus.

Required Skills and Education

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Self motivated individual accomplishing personal and company goals, while maintaining safety.
• Basic computer skills.
• Systematically organized and prepared.
• Skills in Microsoft software is a plus.
