Sales Engineer - Auburn Hills

About the Role

• $65,460 Base + Commission to average $80-90k annually
• This role is 50% Travel

We are seeking a motivated Consumable Sales Representative to drive sales of EDM consumables and generate leads for EDM machine opportunities within the assigned territory. You will engage with existing and potential customers, identify opportunities, and support procurement and forecast planning. This role requires a mix of relationship-building, strategic planning, and hands-on sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Make the Call: Initiate sales conversations and collaborate with machine sales teams to cross-promote products.

• Own Your Territory: Plan and execute strategic coverage of your assigned region.

• Discover Opportunities: Identify and qualify leads by understanding your customers’ evolving needs.

• Deliver Value: Prepare sales quotes, track shipments, and assist with procurement and forecasting.

• Keep It Clean: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory (50% Travel)

• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or SAP is a plus.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work closely with sales engineers and operations teams to achieve results.

• Previous experience in industrial distribution or consumables is preferred but not required.

• Proven track record of developing a sales territory and closing sales.
