Job Summary:

Reliance One is hiring for one of our clients seeking a Controls Technician to join their 2nd shift team. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal operation of production equipment and systems. The role involves both mechanical and electrical work, supporting automation, robotics, and control systems to achieve production and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on machinery and equipment such as assembly cells, conveyor systems, and robots.
• Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs and robotic systems.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions using HMI or PLC interfaces.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Respond quickly to production downtime and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Work required overtime and occasional last-minute shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use basic tools and diagnostic equipment (own tools required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
• Experience with Fanuc and/or ABB robotics.
• Familiarity with Siemens Step 5 / Step 7 controls.
• Experience with vision inspection systems.
