About the Role:

Cantelon Childcare in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our team! Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood development goals
• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
• Monitor and support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and classroom activities
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play
• Maintain accurate developmental records and assessments for each child
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure a consistent, nurturing program

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Michigan childcare regulations
• Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching
